Re: Google Android

We have been working on a series of simple recording apps for Google Android. The first couple are now available from the Android Market.

Re: Google Android

Hello,
just to let people know, we were asked by Oxford University to help with a smartphone app for
ID and survey of Orthoptera. There seem to be different groups working on these things.

Re: Google Android

An app for Indicia, the open-source, online recording system being devloped with support from NBN and BRC, is very definitely on the cards with some work currently in progress at Bristol University and interest expressed at Hull University. Now is a good time for anyone wishing to collaborate on this project to express an interest. To do so, I have created a thread within the Indicia forum.

Re: Google Android

A recording app for Android - "RODIS Wildlife Recording" - is currently in Beta test at rECOrd (Cheshire's LRC) - I am currently assisting in the testing of this app.

This will be the Android version (different layout and operation) of the current online recording system "RODIS" used by a number of LRC's (Cheshire, Greater Manchester, Merseyside, Cumbria and a few in the Midlands). See over at:  http://www.rECOrd-LRC.co.uk - and click on the large "RODIS" characters.

I'm assisting with GMLRC staff with  RODIS. I'm interested in this app for Android, please let me know when it is operational.

Re: Google Android

Where do the records made by using RODIS end up - is it possible to specify the destination of these?

Re: Google Android

Hello Matt,

The records store locally and you can export them and email them to anyone.

Thanks,
