Topic: Start date is not too early

In the settings on the interactive map, where it says "Which years would you like to see records from?" if I put 1500 to 1600 it gives a red message saying Start Date is too early. However it does work - I've just tested it with red deer for which we have a 1512 record in Cumbria and the record is shown. So just a minor suggestion to remove the unneeded message.

Re: Start date is not too early

Hello Teresa

There are very few records on the NBN Gateway pre 1600 and so an arbitrary start date of 1600 has been set (the red deer record is an exception).  You can change this to an ealrier start year as you found. The red text is really a warning as there are some records with erroneous dates that have sneaked through onto the old site eg 12 instead of 2012 etc, 1000 instead of 2000 etc

Best wishes
