Topic: A useful function lost.

In the original (and much-loved) interactive map, it was extremely useful to be able to read the OSGR of the pointer in the status bar.  The new version does not allow this.  May we have this function back, please?

A change which loses useful functionality is not progress.

Hello Murdo

I was not aware that this functionality was on the old Gateway. Have added it as a suggested improvement to the new interactive mapper. One thing the new interactove mapper does that the old ones didn't do is to be able to zoom directly to a site on the NBN Gateway or 10Km grid square by searching for the site in the top search bar

Best wishes

Off the top of my head, this may be browser specific? (IE only?) (and status bars seem to be dissappearing)

Thanks, Graham.

Charlie - I always use Opera, and the OSGR was always there.  Very useful indeed.

See http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1444 … of-browser

Guess it could be done with a "pretend" status bar though.
