Have the SOAP services been moved or is this a planned outage as part of the new launch?

All our SOAP implementations are currently not working and even the WSDL page errors.

Hi Dan,

no, there isn't a planned outage and they haven't been moved.  I took a look at the GetSpeciesList service, which worked for me.

I've refreshed the services, are you still seeing problems?  If so, have you got an example of which service isn't working for you.

Hi Jon.

Thanks. It's all working for me now too. Previously I couldn't even resolve the wsdl - I was getting connection reset errors and no response at all from the services but everything seems fine again now.

Sorry about that Dan, it must have cleared by the time I looked.  The refresh will have cleared out any lingering issues. 

Sounds like a tomcat issue - we'll try to keep an eye on it.

On the NESBReC web site (nesbrec.org.uk/modules/biomaps/index.php) we are getting an error "HTTP Error: Couldn't open socket connection to server http://www.nbnws.net/ws/WSDL, Error (111): Connection refused". Is this possibly related to the SOAP services issue that has been reported?

The services are running again now (10:16 Thursday).  I think the issue was different to the one Dan saw earlier in the week, but I'm still trying to work out what happened.  I think it was caused by a manual mistake (now fixed) made during this week's upgrade to the nbngateway.  The issue didn't cause any problems until yesterday because it was hidden behind load balanced servers - ie the server with the issue wasn't brought on-line until yesterday.
