Topic: Location of iForm media folder

Hi,
I just want to check something. I thought that with the last Instant Indicia update (0.8.2) the "media" and "client_helpers" folder moved from "modules/iform" to "libraries/iform".

From what I can see from trying to figure out why some important icons weren't appearing this is certainly not the case for the "media" folder. Having moved the folder back to modules/iform the icons are now appearing (I resorted to a fairly close examination of iRecord to discover this).

I'm now wondering if the client_helpers folder should also be moved back but I have no "error" to solve in order to test this.

Can anyone help me solve this one?

Many thanks,
Fiona

Hi Fiona
This was certainly coded with the intention that the client_helpers and media folders would sit alongside each other.

Re: Location of iForm media folder

Thanks John, I've moved the client_helpers back to be within the modules/iform folder.

I must admit I'm pretty confused. I have been trawling through the forum and the documentation to try and figure out where the client_helpers and media folders should be.

In the following article (https://indicia-docs.readthedocs.org/en … nt_helpers) there is an implication they can be in either location:

"Now, create a new text file in the Drupal site’s file system, under the following path: sites/all/modules/iform/client_helpers/prebuilt_forms/css. If that path does not exist, then look for sites/all/libraries/iform/client_helpers/prebuilt_forms/css since the module code can also run from within the libraries folder."

What I have found is that the icons used to provide the functionality when "Include option to edit entered taxa:" is ticked in the user interface do not appear on the form if the folders are within the libraries pathway.

Is this a bug in my particular site, a bug in the module or has there been a decision to move all the folders back to the modules/iform folder?

I'm really just seeking clarity as I've spent a fair amount of time trying to figure this out and would like to make sure others don't have to do the same.

Cheers,
Fiona
