Re: Displaying Unchecked Records

I find when I have the "Display Unchecked Records" filter activated expanding a sample so I can "check" the record takes absolutely ages - just tried and it took 50 secs for a sample with only one species observation - this means that retrospectively checking data is nigh on impossible because of time (expanding a sample without the filter on is almost instantaneous)

Ditto - I assumed it was the way we're set up here (i.e. bad internet connection to the database).

Re: Displaying Unchecked Records

It seems to be linked to the number of samples with unchecked records - now I only have 4 samples with unchecked data, they expand in c2-3 secs - However, when I had allowed c50 events to have unchecked records, this was when it took 50 secs

Re: Displaying Unchecked Records

I have runs some checks on this and looked to see if I coudl find  any way the performance could be improved as a temporary measure. Unfortunately, there is nothing I can find which will help, so it will need looking at in more detail. It has been logged for attention

Re: Displaying Unchecked Records

Any progress on this one? It is getting a real pain checking records, just taken nearly 30mins to check a dozen surveys!!!! :(

Re: Displaying Unchecked Records

Very puzzling, I've just gone to review unchecked records - and the problem of it being horrendously slow has apparently gone away.

As far as I am aware nothing has changed in our Recorder setup and in fact another programme (Sage Accounting) has been added to the Windows Server and SQL Server, so it is working harder!

I love computers ;)

Re: Displaying Unchecked Records

Craig, I'm so jealous! We have this problem as well and it is driving me nuts! I've pretty much abandoned the display unchecked records function and instead just trawl through all of our surveys when I check.

It's particularly irritating at the moment as I have A LOT of things to check!

Re: Displaying Unchecked Records

Hello I just wondered if there was any further updates on this issue as I am experiencing the same issues?

Re: Displaying Unchecked Records

Sorry Jenni, my copy of Recorder is behaving fine now, so I'd not chased on this problem - absolutely no idea why it suddenly started working again!

Re: Displaying Unchecked Records

Following our move to a new Windows server, this problem has reappeared, which is all the more surprising considering the increase in speed of the server's processor:

18 secs to view a taxon occurrence might not seem a lot, but with several hundred unchecked records to check, this takes hours!

Re: Displaying Unchecked Records

We also have this problem ... painfully slow. We have vast numbers of unchecked records. I know this is perhaps unadvisable ... but is there anyway of checking all the records in a whole survey?
thanks

Re: Displaying Unchecked Records

I give up on this problem - today the problem has 'gone away' no idea why, we haven't changed anything I'm aware of, but now opening a taxon occurrence takes less than 2 secs
