Topic: Importing sample method

Not sure if this should be a 'feature request' but I consider it a bug!

When running an import, under sampling method, you can press the button to add an imported sampling method to Recorder, BUT if you first search the list of existing methods, Recorder adds the last method you were looking at to the field next to the in-coming method and you cannot then delete this to press the Add New, so new sampling methods can only be added via the import wizard if you know beforehand that they aren't in the system already!

This isn't the behaviour on the sites or observer import windows, where delete works

Re: Importing sample method

I think this is a bug and it will be logged as such. It also affects some other columns which work in the same way. There is  no easy fix. The only way around it seems to be to go into tools/term list  and add the sample type manually - you can do this without leaving the import Wizard.   Once added via the term list you need to click on previous in the import wizard and then next and the item will then appear in the drop down from where is can be selected. I  appreciate this is far  from ideal, but perhaps better than having to abandon the import.
