Topic: The Local Images File Path setting

I have decided to get up to speed with Recorder after a lay off of several years, and am trying to install Recorder 6 version 6.17.2.251. I downloaded this from a link that Sally Rankin kindly sent.

Although things seemed to go OK, I am unable to open Recorder 6 and the bug File reports 'The Local Images File Path setting is missing or incorrect. Recorder is not installed properly and cannot start'.

Can anyone tell me what this actually means and how I can fix it? I presume R6 is looking for something it expects to be in a certain place, that isn't .

I do have R2K installed on the same machine, but on a partition D, because C was getting a bit cluttered. I have since freed up a lot of junk and installed R6 on C.

I use Windows XP SP3 incidentally.

thanks
Don

Re: The Local Images File Path setting

I think there may be a problem with the download. The first thing to try will be to remove Recorder 6 (using Control panel) and do a new install using a new download . www.Recorder6.info/Standalone.zip

Re: The Local Images File Path setting

That has worked a treat! I have assigned a password and am currently confirming that everything is working before transferring the 2002 data.

Thanks for such a quick response!
