Hi

Not sure about this one. can you tell me a bit about your installation please. Is it a standalone or network version and which version of R6 are you running ?

Re: Error 32 login problem

Hi Mike,

It's a network version, R6 version 6.17.1.250 - Dictionary version 10.  My machine is running windows 7 but the installation is on an XP machine (Windows XP 5.01.2600 service pack 3).  I've not had any problems logging in up until last week - and I don't think we've installed anything new or changed anything!

Thanks,
Jackie

Re: Error 32 login problem

The error should create a file which we could usefully use to investigate this problem further. The location/name of the error file should be shown at the end of the text at the top of the  Error window.

Re: Error 32 login problem

Hi Mike - I'll email the file over!

Thanks Charlie - this seems to be for backups rather than logging in?  Did a quick check switching off the 'on access' virus checking but it didn't seem to make any difference.

Re: Error 32 login problem

This looks like it is something to do with the Base map file on the Server.  We suspect that there is a file lock on one of the base map files in the server installation directory. Have you any one who could look at this for you or is it something you will need to sort out yourself ?  If so I will see what further information I can provide.

SQL Backup is a program - the error message is being provided by SQL Server itself

Re: Error 32 login problem

Just to let you know the problem has been resolved, apparently it was a permissions issue with my network connection not having a 'trusted' connection to the machine on which the Recorder database sits.  I'm not sure how this changed - possibly an update to the system somewhere!

Anyway, all working now so thanks for your help!
