Topic: Recorder 6 and Windows 7

We have just upgraded one of our computers to Win7 and successfully reinstalled Rec6 (thanks to Mike Weideli's updated script) - however, I can't work out how to put the Rec6 icon on the Windows Toolbar along the bottom of the screen - I've not had problems with Word, MapInfo, etc, but when I try Recorder - all that happens is the icon gets a red circle with line through it and will not stay on the bar - does anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

Can I assume no-one knows how to put the Recorder icon on the task bar of Windows 7!

Re: Recorder 6 and Windows 7

Are you "pinning" it to the taskbar? This works fine for me (open Recorder, right click on the taskbar entry and go "Pin this program to the taskbar").

I'm obviously being really thick, 'cos I cannot find a "Pin this program" option anywhere

Re: Recorder 6 and Windows 7

How are you putting other programs on there?

To pin somthing, open the program and then right click on the programs taskbar button - you should see a "pin to taskbar option" (see attachment). Then when you close it, the icon should remain on the taskbar.

Charlie, thanks for the clarification - my copy of Recorder6 does not have the 'pin to taskbar' option - other programs I've pinned by dragging them over the taskbar

It works for me if I have a shortcut to Recorder on the desktop and then drag it onto the taskbar (not sure why you don't have a pin to taskbar option!).
