Re: Importing: All Latest

When doing an import using NBN Access database (zipped) and duplicates are detected, if I click All Latest, I get a message telling me that "Not all records could be compared on the basis of date stamps". I then have to choose either All Original or All Imported to finish the import. This seems to happen on all imports from zip files or xml files.

So when I see the "not all records could be compared..." message, does this mean that only those that couldn't be compared are affected by the subsequent clicking of All Original or All Imported? Or does it mean that the All Latest button simply does nothing if I see this message?

This begs the question, what is it that cannot be compared by date stamp?

There are a few tables which don't have the required Changed_Date column to check the most recent copy. These are the ones that can't be compared. When you click All Latest and see this message, only records from these tables remain, so subsequent clicking of All Imported etc does not affect the records that were compared.

I hope this helps

Thanks John, that's clarified it perfectly.
