Please can someone explain exactly the process of running batch updates in Recorder 6? On the overview pages of the website it states that:

'The batch updates are run from the Tools Menu by choosing Run Batch Updates.'

I seem to be missing this option as it does not appear in my 'Tools' menu. Can anyone hazard a guess as to why this should be so as its getting pretty frustrating!

Are you logged in as System Admin? Think only system administrators have access to batch updates.

Thanks for the heads-up Charlie. I 'inherited' our present R6 system from my predecessor and so all the settings are as they were - or perhaps as they always have been. I have checked the level of access that I am afforded on the welcome window, as you suggested, and the field is blank! As I have 'full edit' ability, I assume that this is the upper limit of my system access.

How do I modify my access level? Given that I am the primary data manager, it seems ludicrous that I don't have full, administrator access!!

Only system administrators can change user access levels... so you'd need to log in as the user that has "system administrator" privileges.

Do you know the username/password ... ?

Doesn't the default user have full administrator rights, assuming no one has foolishly removed it?  There is a standard default password supplied with each copy of recorder, which you always log on as when newly installed - so that you can then create users, system administrators, etc after installation.  Hopefully you still have a default user

As Loiuse suggests try selecting Default User and using 'password' as the password.  If this gives you Admin access then you can change yourself to an Administrator for future use.
