Re: Error in common name for Large Skipper

I have just been skimming through some Excel files, output from Recorder 6, and noticed that one has an incorrect Common Name.  But even here, there is an inconsistency in my data.

The facts are:
One survey site's Recorder data has:
Large Skipper as Ochlodes faunus.  (has this been changed ?- my ref books say it's O. venata)
But the Excel spreadsheet data has a Common Name of "Ochlodes sylvanus"!

Another survey site's Recorder data has:
Large Skipper as Ochlodes venata subsp. faunus.
But the Excel spreadsheet data has a common name of "Large Skipper". (which is at least correct).

I guess there has been some species name changes, but the Common Name is certainly incorrect in one set of data.

My Recorder version is 6.15.4.238, and the Dictionary version is 0000000Y.

Should I be worried?

Thanks
Nigel

Re: Error in common name for Large Skipper

This has just been flagged up to me (again);

All records of large skipper on our system have a recommended taxon name of Ochlodes sylvanus (is this right or should it be O. faunus?) and a recommended common name of Ochlodes sylvanus.
