Re: Data export filter error

Hi
Once again I am thwarted in trying to export data from our networked copy of Recorder 6 for upload to the NBN Gateway. My new problem is that the result of running an export filter for a subset of data is an error message "Interface not registered". This has occurred when using the NBN exchange addin and the NBN Access Database (Zipped) options.

Any quick solutions or alternative ways anyone can think of to get the data out would be gratefully received as I need to do so by the end of the week ideally!

Thanks

Re: Data export filter error

The filter management tool in Recorder 6 still doesn't work - as described above. Is no one else having a problem with it? Please can someone kindly advise how to resolve this problem as I really feel this integral part of the database should be working! To be clear, its not just a problem with the NBN Exchange addin.

I just ran it again using the NBN Access database option and it created a .mdb file which only has an 'Address' table within it which has headings but no data within it apart from an 'Entry Date' field which has today's date along with the time I opened the Access database last. That seems odd to me.

Re: Data export filter error

I am advised that It definitely relates to COM. Possibly some problem with the registration of the validation addin. Could be worth trying the system checker? If you have access to the registry  it may also be worth temporarily switching off validation and trying the export. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/Dorset Software/Recorder 6/Installed Addins. For StdvalLib.Recorder6 Standard Valoidation modify 'Installed'  to make the data = 0.

Make sure you set it back to 1 after the test.
