Re: duplicate species in a datasets metadata species list

The following screen shot shows it best - is there a reason why Coccinella septempunctata has been triplicated and others duplicated?

Re: duplicate species in a datasets metadata species list

Hello Charlie

Its to do with the underlying taxonversionkeys that were used to record the species in the dataset submitted to the NBN Gateway. eg 3 taxonversionkeys for Coccinella septempunctata have been used.

Ideally the species list should be grouped so that only one name appears with sum of records for each

Best wishes

Re: duplicate species in a datasets metadata species list

Thought as much - does this affect the "Number of recorded species" presented on the metadata as well?

Re: duplicate species in a datasets metadata species list

Hello Charlie

No, the" Number of recorded species" uses the preferred taxonversionkeys for the taxa and not the original recorded taxonversionkeys

Best wishes
