Re: Grid Refs to Tetrads?

Hello,

Maybe not the correct place on the forum but....

Does anyone have or know of a handy tool that can convert from grid references to tetrads in bulk.  Ideally we could do with something that is either in access or excel (so our recorders without Recorder can use it!) that will take the grid references from one column and place the tetrad in another.

Any help or pointers appreciated!

Thanks

Kirsty

I probably have something you could use, but won't have time to look until next week. Lets see what else comes up...

Re: Grid Refs to Tetrads?

Hello Kirsty

I wrote some VBA functions to convert grid references to tetrads a while ago which may be of use. They should work in either Excel or Access, They can be found on my personal wiki page - http://gcfrench.wikidot.com/grid-references. If you do use them that please check they are converting the grid references to the correct tetrads

Best wishes

Graham

Re: Grid Refs to Tetrads?

We have a set of Python scripts we use from ArcMap for converting alpha-numeric grid refs of varying precision (SD12, SD12A, SD1234, SD123456 etc) into X and Y coords, with precision value. Also converts values of 1km and above, into tetrads.
