Re: Reset R6 SQL Server Connection Details

After an update to SQL Server Express 2008 R2 went horribly wrong I have had to completly reinstall SQL Server Express. :o

That has all gone fine and I have re-attached to the NBN Data Database.

I can run R6 on the server itself, but all workstations complain: "... SQL Server does not exist or access denied".

I assume I need to recreate the SQL account used by R6 or reset the account username / password in the R6 server config.

Anyone know how to do this? Is there a program I need to run to do this? Help!

Many thanks,
Steve

Re: Reset R6 SQL Server Connection Details

All fixed - thanks for your help Mike - pointed me in the right direction.

In the end it was a combination of re-creating the NBNUser account and more importantly enabling TCP/IP connections into the server via the SQL Server Configuration manager.
