I wonder if anyone has or could create an xml report that could summarise the number of records in a tab?
I want to create a report which we can use on the BIS website to show the :
Survey Tag name or Survey name if not in a Tag
No of records in tag or survey
First and last date in Tag or Survey
Geographical area
Run by

Some of this info is obtained in a report but not all of it...I can see that it is quite complex..

What do you want in the Geographic area ?  On the tag this could come from multiple Survey. Do you want to concatenate these ?  Similar situation with run by.

Thanks Mike...yes it would be good to concatenate. I realised when I asked that these attributes could cause a problem.

I have worked out how to do it, but it isn't a five minute job. It would probably be easier to do the concatenation in  UDF's, which take the tag key as a parameter. Building this code into the query can be done, but it does make it complex. I may be able to look at it in the next week or so, but I am chasing afew year end deadlines at the moment.

I have had a go at this. The files are at

I have created two UDF's to concatenate the run by and geography for the tags. These will need to be installed  via Management Studio. T

Hi Mike,
I'm probably being dull here...

I have run the 2 queries - both completed successfully.

How / where do I find the XML to put in the Reports folder within R6?
