Unfortunately we are currently experiencing difficulties with using Marine Recorder v4.17 on a Windows 7 x64bit platform. This is due to be fixed with the next release this financial year. In the meantime can you please use Marine Recorder v4.16 - I understand that this works successfully on this platform.

If you have already installed v4.17 and are experiencing difficulties the following information may be of use:

It appears that the issue resides with the run-time Access and its associated files and registry entries that MR uses. Uninstalling MR does not remove this. You will need to uninstall MR AND the relevant version of run-time Access first (there may be more than one on the computer)  and then reinstall MR v4.16. If you have multiple versions of Access run-time on your PC you can find out which version MR is using by rightclicking the MR icon and viewing the properties - on the shortcut tab the 'Target' information describes the pathway used by MR and hence which version of Access run-time.
