Re: Error whilst checking records

I got the following error while checking records (ticking the left hand box):

Exception occurred in application Recorder 6 at 30/10/2008 15:16:35.
Version : 6.13.2.176

Exception path:
EAccessViolation : Access violation at address 0094C243 in module 'RecorderApp.exe'. Read of address 4D204EA7

Last event\actions:
  TfrmSampleDetails created
  TfrmSampleDetails destroyed
  TfrmTaxonOccurrences created
  TfrmTaxonOccurrences destroyed
  TfrmSampleDetails created
  TfrmSampleDetails destroyed
  TfrmEventDetails created
  TfrmEventDetails destroyed
  TfrmTaxonOccurrences created

---------------
This time I have found a pattern, but not a solution:

Because of the problem with entering species lists (posted a few days ago) we have been entering species list in small batches - this causes the Event to have a number of identical samples within it - I then drag the species records all into one sample.

The error when ticking the 'checked box' ONLY occurs if I try to tick one of the taxon occurrences which has been moved - those which have not been moved behave OK - almost as if the background database hasn't 'caught up' with what has been done in Recorder.

Re: Error whilst checking records

HI Craig,

I've just checked this out and can replicate it consistently, so I will log it. However, there seems to be a neat work around (I think you might be right in terms of the database not catching up) you simply have to close the observation hierarchy after moving the records and reopen before checking the records - it clearly needs refreshing.

Hope this helps.
