Topic: Site Status

Hi,
I would like to change some site statuses in the term list like 'AONB' which is now called 'National Landscape'. But it looks like I can't, probably because these statuses were defined by Recorder centrally? Does it makes sense to edit these statuses directly in the tables in the background or is that dangerous and will it be overwritten by every dictionary update?  Who knows the answers?

Thanks,
Wolfgang

Re: Site Status

Hi Wolfgang,

My understanding (i do not know for certain!) is that the term lists are not affected by dictionary updates so should be safe to change in a similar way to conservation status which are not maintained.

The only potential issue would be if there was a future major Recorder 6 update which re-created those tables but i imagine that it very unlikely and can't see why it would be done. Even then a potential update would use the key not the text name so would just over-ride the change.
