Topic: Recorder not opening

Hello
Please help! This is a standalone laptop with Windows 10. It has been working for several years. It holds all the data for the Isle of Man Fungus Group.
Recorder was working fine in December. I have not updated any dictionaries for a long time.
But now we cannot get into Recorder and the error message is:
The Dictionary Path setting is missing or incorrect. Recorder is not installed properly and cannot start.
Help please!

The easiest way to solve it is to recreate the directory where the dictionary updates were put when you last updated. If you don't know this you'll need to go into the Registry to find the location. It could have been eg in the Downloads folder, which is why its been working fine even though you did the updates a long time ago (i.e. you've only recently emptied the downloads folder)
