Topic: Recorder appears as identifier

In the records from the Invertebrate Sites Register, in my records I am credited in the NBN as Identified by, whereas in many cases I was just the recorder and other people did the identifications for me. Firstly this doesn't give credit where credit is due. Secondly, it might lead to valid records being disbelieved on the grounds of "He couldn't identify craneflies" or "He couldn't identify rove beetles".

Dear John,
Thank you for letting me know. I will contact Natural England and see if we can correct the records - the information is as it came from the data provider (or at least as it was transferred from The Gateway).
