Topic: R6 V6.26 installation fails when creating database file

Hi,

I am trying to install R6 on a laptop, I have a fresh install of SQL server 2008 running.

When I run the R6 install it gets towards the end, "Creating database file" but I then get an error message "The application has encountered an unhandled error" and the options are continue, restart or close application.  No option but to restart and continue does not cause the install to carry on.

The bug report has the following report at the bottom:

File activation failure.  The physical file name "C:\program files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL 10.MSSQLSERVER\MSSQL\Data\NBNData_log.LDF" may be incorrect.  When I look at the MSSQL files in Program files, that file path does not exist, the file is found at "C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL10_50.RECORDER\MSSQL\DATA"

Is there a reason why the installation is looking at that location, or any way I can change where it looks for that file.  I assume it looks in the same place for the NBNData_Data file as well.

Thanks

Mark
