Topic: Object Moved - and Indicia2Recorder problem

Whilst trying to download records from iRecord using John van Breda's Indicia2Recorder add-in in Recorder my colleague is encountering a problem that was not present a couple of weeks ago. Presented as HTML as Recorder
<head><title>Object Moved</title></head>
<body>This document may be found <a HREF=https://www.brc.ac.uk/irecord/?q=user/mobile/register">here</a></body>

The reason for posting it here rather than in the Recorder bug reporting section is that I wanted to check whether there has been any structural changes in the data warehouse or anything else at your end that might have caused this? And if so is there likely to be a simple fix or am I going to have to delve into the add-in to change a url?

Dave

Re: Object Moved - and Indicia2Recorder problem

Hi Dave,

I suspect this may be related to the fact that we are trying to switch to the https protocol to make our systems more secure.

I imagine the add-in is making a request for "http://www.brc.ac.uk/irecord/?q=user/mobile/register" and the server is responding by telling you that you have to get it from https.

I've never used the add-in but it might be as simple as updating the configuration file mentioned in the documentation at http://indicia-docs.readthedocs.io/en/l … rder.html. However, you may need our assistance to do that.

Jim Bacon.

Re: Object Moved - and Indicia2Recorder problem

Hi Jim,
In order to re-create the configuration file I need the shared app secret for iRecord. Would it be possible for you email this to me? I don't think I ever had this from John as the file already existed.
Thanks,
Dave

Re: Object Moved - and Indicia2Recorder problem

A new version of Indicia2Recorder and the connection file are now available to solve this problem.
Available from http://www.indicia.org.uk/downloads
