Topic: Login not required for record download?

The Atlas GUI seems to require a user to login in order to download records but the web services don't? For example by using the https://records-ws.nbnatlas.org/occurre … x/download web service I was able to download all the Great Crested Newt records without specifying any user details and only specifying the reasonTypeId as 10 (testing). Is that as intended?
