Topic: The EOL dataset

I think this may apply to all species where photographs are provided but, take Camelus dromedarius as an especially clear example.

The overview page tells us there are 4 occurrences, all from the Encyclopedia of Life dataset. In fact there are no occurrences but there are 4 photos.

I would have thought it better to neither count the photos amongst the occurrences nor the datasets.

Re: The EOL dataset

Interesting - it seems that the Atlas is treating it as an occurrence without who/where/when. It'd be interesting to know how easy it would be to exclude image sources as occurrence datasets - I've seen some images where it clearly states "occurrence data not gathered from image" or some such (can't find link atm); this sort of explains that.
