Topic: Reporting format

I have been asked to produce a report in a specific format, but cannot see how to do it in the Report Wizard

1) output start and end dates separately, this should be simple as that is how the data is stored in Recorder!
2) populate a column with a default value if there is actually no entry, e.g. if abundance is blank, output 'present'

Populating a default isn't so easy. My immediate though is that these needs a UDF for each case, but there might be a better way.
