Topic: Old Recorder database

I've inherited am old Recorder 2000 file (Access 97 nbndata.mdb database) which contains 30,000+ records which I want to extract (into Excel) and then import into a current version of R6.

On checking there seem to be a few anomalies in the tables. I have a number of samples which have no entry in the sample recorder table and over 300 taxon occurrences with no entry in the taxon determination table. I assume I'll just have to lose these as incomplete, but curious if anyone can think of why/how such a situation could have occurred? If it helps I think many of these records have been converted from an old R3 database.

Re: Old Recorder database

This happened because the data came from a R3.3 transfer. I would say from doing many R3.3 transfers that probably the missing data was not in R3.3 so nothing new will be lost.
