Topic: PHP 5.3 support

Hi all,
Currently PHP 5.3 is listed as supported for Indicia, but it is now past its end of life as far as PHP support is concerned and is also not supported on the Travis automated testing framework we are starting to make use of. So I am proposing that we drop support for it.
If this will cause anyone significant problems then please let me know.
Regards
John

Re: PHP 5.3 support

Meanwhile, at the other end of the PHP spectrum, we are now running Indicia code on PHP 5.6 and testing on 7.0. These are the two versions with active support at present (http://php.net/supported-versions.php). Supported versions receiving security patches are recommended for maintaining the safety of your computer systems.

Hi John and Jim, is Indicia stable on PHP 7?

Re: PHP 5.3 support

Yes. We are running our warehouses and Drupal 7 sites with PHP 7.0 now.

Re: PHP 5.3 support

Oh good I was wondering about updating to php7 though at present they both have the same end of life dates I'm sure 7 might rise while 5.6 stays the same
