Lancashire Wildlife Trust are looking for four enthusiastic Trainee Officers to support the delivery of ‘The Biodiverse Society’.

4 POSTS, 30 HOURS PER WEEK + 7 HOURS PERSONAL STUDY TIME

FIXED TERM CONTRACT (1ST NOVEMBER 2016 – 27TH OCTOBER 2017)

LWT are the leading environmental charity in the region that stands up for wildlife, creates wildlife havens and inspires communities about the natural environment in our diverse urban and rural communities.

We need enthusiastic Trainee Officers to support the delivery of ‘The Biodiverse Society’, a partnership project between Lancashire Wildlife Trust, Lancashire Environmental Records Network, and Merseyside BioBank, funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund.

2 posts will be Lancashire focused, and the 2 other posts will be North Merseyside focused. The posts will be responsible for volunteers, working as a team to achieve our aim to enhance and update the data on Local Wildlife Sites throughout Lancashire and North Merseyside and to make the collection of accurate data sustainable into the future, creating a well-supported new cohort of ambassadors for wildlife sites, equipped with the skills to carry on this essential work into the future.

We are looking for individuals with a dynamic, ‘can do’ attitude and a passion for engaging & empowering volunteers in wildlife surveying. Individuals must have experience in wildlife surveying and supporting placements, volunteers, students, local groups or local communities to actively engage in surveys.
