We have completed as much testing as we reasonably can on using R6  with SQL Server 2016 and no problems have yet  been found.   Microsoft have not deprecated any features used by R6, so it should work,  but it may be that there are problems that we have not yet found. If anyone wants to give it a try then we will do our best to  resolve any issues.
