Topic: installation stuck
Hi
I am trying to set up R6 on a laptop that has windows 8. I have installed server 12.
The installation gets stuck on copying file uninstall.exe.
Can you help please?

Not sure why this is happening. Try specifically running the install as Admin. Right click on setup and choose run as Admin if you can. If this doesn't help then it might be possible to run it is compatibility mode. See http://www.recorder6.info/page15.html where you can download special instructions for Windows 8. These shouldn't be necessary with install 6.23, but may offer some ways forward.
