Topic: Duplicates posts / How active is the NBN Forum?

The 'General Announcements' forum seems to have many duplicate posts. Could these be tidied?
As a general point, is the NBN Forum site being replaced by NBN's Twitter or Facebook pages? Some of us distrust these monsters and won't sign up to them.

Not very active I think.
There's interest in some subject areas but it's a hard system to navigate through to find up to date information, possibly one of the reasons it's not visited so much. Replies to postings can be 6 months or more apart - technology moves a lot quicker than that.
There's nowhere else to go though (if as you say, you're one of those who distrust monsters).
I did try to advocate splitting off a major topic (GIS) into a dedicated site the other day but no-one's read it.

It's a forum with a small user base, so it's quiet.  I think the same would be true if it were "moved" to Facebook.
