Topic: Export bug

I have noticed that when exporting a survey from R6 in NBN Exchange Format 6.21 the .xml file - irrespective of the survey actually exported - sets the Title and Description to the wrong survey (except of course when I want to export the Cotula alpina survey).  I am not clear what effect this has - the files sent to NBN for upload seem to perform as expected - but it seems obvious that there is an inconsistency.

An extract of the .xml produced when our Vertebrates survey CI0001660000001N was exported from R6 is pasted below.

Re: Export bug

I think, but I haven't run it to try it out that the dataset title is coming from the meta data set up for export. If you look at the meta data  via Tools/Export Management/Meta data, is the dataset title set to  ' Cotula alpina survey'.
If so then you can change this to something more generic.   Otherwise let me know and I will investigate further. I don't think what is going in there is of any consequence.

Re: Export bug

Yes, you are right, Mike.  I am not sure where these entries came from or when - I have no memory of setting them manually.

I had always assumed that survey metadata were extracted from the SURVEY table, but obviously not.

Anyway, that tracks the phenomenon, and as you say it is probably of little consequence.
