Topic: Import Wizard problem with ampersands in Recorder/Determiner

Hi

The Import Wizard appears to be changing any '&' (ampersands) in the Recorder and Determiner fields to '&' during the validation process (see attached file).  This seems to cause a problem when parsing the Recorder field to split multiple recorders, and if new names are generated to Recorders or Determiners they contain '&' in the new name.

Has anyone else experienced this?

I am using v6.22.2.272.

Thanks
Andy

Help

I've just noticed the same is happening to the Location and the Taxon Occurrence Comments columns.  Any fields with '&' appear as '&' in the import wizard during validation.

Re: Import Wizard problem with ampersands in Recorder/Determiner

On further investigation it appears this problem occurs when importing a large (140,000+ records) .xlsx file, but not when import the same number of records as a .txt file.

And it's not during/after the validation process ... it is before the validation has even been run, so it's during the initial load from the .xlsx file.
