Topic: Minimum fields for inclusion in NBN

Hi

Sorry for all the newbie questions today, but with the help I'm getting here I'm making great progress.

I like the flexibility of the iForm creation and how is it possiblr to set something up with a bare minumum of fields. Is there defined anywhere the mandatory fields required for records to be acceptable to ultimately end up in NBN?

I'd point you at the NBN exchange format to see their required fields, http://www.nbn.org.uk/Share-Data/Provid … ormat.aspx

Indicia simplifies this a bit for you. If you record a species against the UK Master List with a date and a location you will have done all you need, I think. (I only suggest the UK Master List as it will have an NBN TVK for each species, meaning no additional work needed on your part to create a species list.)

There is a form you can select from the IForm module, if I remember rightly, which allows you to create a page from which you can download your records in NBN exchange format.

For reference for others finding this thread in thr future, I found the form to which I think you refer in Form Category: Utilities, as Form: Easy download 2.
