Topic: New Intall User Deleted - Urgent

Hi I've just installed the system using the online instructions but when the database is updated it replaces my logon details with another and the details seem undocumented. So I cannot login and it is therefore impossible to install indicia.

Does anyone know why or what the default user is please?

Hi

First of all, could you just clarify whether you are talking about an Indicia warehouse installation or a Drupal installation.

Is there a reason not to add the username and password to the documentation?

Tony, depending on where you are heading, you will almost certainly be wanting your own website ID and password, possibly on one of the BRC servers. I could set that up for you. Perhaps the LRC template comes configured with a website ID for you to use by way of an initial demonstration. I haven't tried it myself.

Yes please Jim but.... I'm not sure if it has been set up already or not and I don't have access to the person who might have. It doesn't look like I have the Indica Warehouse address and that appears to be what is needed.


I have to admit it is not a pleasant experience so far with updates that don't compete but are apparently done. The core has to be updated manually but there is very little help from Drupal. I'm puzzled as to why this cms is so unevolved. If it has to be done manually it appears that things are likely to got wrong often.

Hi

I'll look to see if I can find a website already set up for SERC on our live and our test warehouse.

Everyone says Drupal has a steep learning curve. You might like to investigate the tool called Drush which can be very helpful in maintaining and updating Drupal sites. You'll particularly like it if you come from the Linux/command-line school of computing.
