Topic: Quick Report - Detailed Species List- glitch?

I have found a glitch whilst checking my transfer from XP to Windows 7.

Within Locations and select a Site (in my case a Local Wildlife Site).  Then left click Report/ Quick Report/Geographical Area/Location Reports/Locations Hierarchy Reports, scroll down to  SxBrc Detailed Species List - and select.  This fails, and comes up with the following message - 'There is an error in the SQL code. The error message is: String or binary data would be truncated'.

The functions JNCC L6 and L7 Species Lists by the same route work.

I spoke this afternoon with another user of Recorder 6 still running  on XP, he tried the function and experienced the same problem. Is this an upgrade problem?

Has anyone else experienced the same.

Re: Quick Report - Detailed Species List- glitch?

I think this is the problem reported in topic http://forums.nbn.org.uk/viewtopic.php?id=4750 which will be fixed in 6.23. The field for Sort_order in the temporary  table is 20 rather 30 characters.  Attached is the version which will be in 6.23.  Make sure R6 is closed.  Copy the file into the Reports folder of R6. Open R6 and the report should run.

Re: Quick Report - Detailed Species List- glitch?

Thanks Mike

When do you think 6.23 will be released?  If it is in the next month or so I could wait until then.

My initial concern was that it was part of my previous problem, that is stemming from the dict downloads which would not run - in which case I did not wish to start entering data.

I will get on with data entry now.
