Re: Problem importing and reporting on a polygon

Whilst importing a .shp polygon of Hartlepool Borough into Recorder 2002 I received the following error message:

Access violation at address 0350A2BB in module 'IMPORT~1.ocx'
Read of address 00000000

The polygon appeared in the map window, but when I ran a report on all the species records in the polygon, not all of the records which I know to be present within the area were included.

I deleted the polygon and re-imported it, but the same thing happened.  What could be causing this problem, and are the missing records linked to it?
