Topic: Report maps not loading

Hi,
The All Records, My Records and Survey Summary pages on our site (www.habitas.org.uk/records) have all stopped being able to load the dot maps. Each one just shows the transparent white overlay and the little turning wheel as if it is trying to load the dots but can't. The record grid is loading fine and if I view the record details page the dot gets plotted on the map there.

I have also checked on iRecord (to double check it isn't a warehouse problem) and while the All Records report there is working fine, the Bristol99 Info Centre page is showing the same behaviour as mine.

I have updated my iform and indicia_features modules to the latest versions from the SVN but the problem remains.

Any ideas?

The problem seems to be with the NBN.

No, Fiona is talking about Indicia maps. There was a bug in jquery.reportgrid.js so it did not pass one of the parameters to the map, which I've now fixed if you update just this file from SVN.

iRecord is fixed.

Hi John,
That has fixed it, thank you very much.

I thought I would mention that I am getting that Internal 500 error more often over the last couple of days. It is just on the reporting and summary pages. I know it is in the issue list but I wanted to let you know that it is occurring more frequently at the moment in case this helps track down the problem.

Sorry, jumped to the wrong conclusion because loads of sites are having problems with the SOAP web services coming from the old NBN Gateway at the moment.

No problem Jim. It could just as easily have been our internet connection which is as flaky as anything at the moment!

Hi John,

I'd been thinking the maps not loading was a speed issue but having read this, obviously not.

Apologies for my ignorance  - please could you advise how I go about updating this? Or point me in the right direction for help?

Hi Tamara,
There are instructions on the Indicia documentation website about SVN. You would be best to start with reading those and then installing something like TortoiseSVN to get the file you need. I'm a novice with subversion but I can get it to do what I need in order to update my Indicia website.

Sorry - just catching up on this. I've upgraded all your code and it has fixed the issues - probably easier than you trying to learn Subversion for now!
