Topic: Add new Determination to a batch of records

I need to add a new determination to a batch of records, all in one survey, but not all the records in the survey, trouble is there are nearly 10,000 records needing editing - one of my recorders has deleted a load of records from his copy of MapMate and I need to reflect this deletion in our copy of Recorder (I don't want to actually delete the records, but set them as 'deleted in MapMate' - a new determination type which I have set up).

Can anyone help with the requisite XML to achieve this, I have created the list of relevant records as a filter (.ref) file

The batch update in LCValidation.zip may do what you require. This is a package that provides the facilities for updating determination details. It is available from the Uploaded Files section of the forum – http://forums.nbn.org.uk/viewtopic.php?pid=14533#p14533 . Some users have developed variations on this so other versions are available.
