Re: Importing via ADO connection problem

I've been using the ADO import facility in Recorder 6 for some time now, but today I noticed a problem seems to have developed. This is the first time I've used the ADO import since upgrading to 6.10 so it is possibly something that was introduced in this latest upgrade. When I get to the choose a data table section, I click next and get the following error:

The data import failed. Please check that the properties are correctly set and that the import file is not empty.

I'm not sure what properties it is referring to, and the import file is definitely not empty. I've created a screencast to demonstrate the problem more fully (open the .swf file in Internet Explorer).

Re: Importing via ADO connection problem

Update: it's not to do with the upgrade (I think) but to do with the fact that I've got a memo field in the Access database I'm trying to import. I converted it to a text field and the import went through.

Is there genuinely a limit on the length of text field in the import wizard? If so, this is a problem as I often come across comments with >255 chars.

Re: Importing via ADO connection problem

Hi Charles/Sarah

Any chance you could email me a copy of the import file, to save me having to recreate one?

Thanks
