Topic: NBN Record Cleaner (V1.0.8.3) - post-upgrade corruption

Hi Graham,

Running the program after successfully updating to 1.0.8.3 throws up some concerning errors. While updating the species dictionary I get the message "File C:\ProgramData\NBNRecordCleaner\VerificationData\Hoverfly Recording Scheme\HRS_Difficulty\HRS_Difficulty\HRS_Difficulty.txt not found." This happens to be correct as I've not downloaded the rules but this dialogue has never appeared before. I then get the "Object reference not set to an instance of an object." The validation screen then reject every single record. Tried this a few time now and the same errors occur.

I suspect I will have to un-install and re-install as I recall the "Object reference..." message means there is a corruption.

Any thoughts?

Panic over! I downloaded the Hoverfly RS rules and then deleted them. All works well now.

Was going to suggest downloading the rule. It should be OK now, though it doesn't explain why it occurred in the first place so will have a look into it further
