Topic: Importing from an excel spreadsheet - error message

Hi - I am trying to import a lot of bat records into recorder using an excel spreadsheet. I've tried to create a Recorder-friendly template and, when I validate columns, there are no recorded errors. However, at that point I get an 'unhandled error' message so I can't proceed to the next stage of import. On viewing the bug report, it says it's a range check error. Any ideas on what I am doing wrong?

Many thanks,

Becky (ps - I am relatively new to recorder...!)

Is the import file still open in XL? This will prevent the import at either the first or second step, can't remember which off the top of my head.

The date column is most likely causing the problem, but rather than   keep trying things if you can zip up the data and attach it to this topic I will take a look for you.

To move forward you need to remove all  the question marks (all of them)  from the abundance column.   This should allow you to proceed to the next stage.
