Re: Help Files and known problems
Hi everyone
I just wanted to point people in right direction if they are having any problems with displaying Recorder 6 Help files (or any Help files for that matter).
I believe it is a problem related to internet explorer. The message displayed is:
"Action canceled
Internet Explorer was unable to link to the Web page you requested. The page might be temporarily unavailable..."
I had a problem with my local copy of Recorder 6 here, which I managed to fix by copying and pasting the .chm elsewhere, then zipping the file. I then cut and pasted the zip file back into the Recorder 6 Help folder, and selected to 'Extract all to here'.
I was then able to view the pages in Recorder 6 via the Help menu.
Others have had problems with viewing these files over a network -see http://forum.lrcs.org.uk/viewtopic.php?id=72 and a different solution was found.
