What version of Recorder 6 are you running – see Help – About Recorder 6..., and what operating system (Windows XP or Windows 7)? I updated the information on backups when I did the changes for v6.17 so if you are running that version you will have access to up to date information although it may need further updates for Windows 7. The most important thing is to backup the database using Tools – Database Tools – Backup Database, and copy the backup file (compressed, if required) to an external drive.
