I've been asked whether it will be possible to set resolution at 5km under the proposed new system, as this was discussed during the first round of consultation.  This will not be included in the first iteration of the new data access controls, which is planned for launch at the beginning of July subject to support from data providers and users.  However, the new database structure will support 5km resolution, as well as 1 metre and 10 metre resolution where the survey methodology justifies this level of precision.  There are some User Interface issues that need to be resolved before we can introduce these additional levels of resolution, but they can be introduced at a later stage.
