I have to admit this is very puzzling. I was editing the biotope for a sample and a colleague deleted the biotope the occurrence the sample and the event.

Then Recorder crashed when I went to save the biotope.. So what is puzzling is how this is possible; surely there is record locking?

Hi Tony
No, record locking is not really the done thing on a client server network database like SQL Server, as with many users it gets unmanageable as well as potential problems with hung locks. Rather the software should detect changes and handle them gracefully, so there is a bug in how it is doing this. I will file a bug report.
