I recently ran the upgrade to 6.16 to 6.17 on my standalone R6 installation at home - without any problems.
I want to undertake this task on an R6 installation (Doncaster LRC) which is on DMBC's corporate network. The database is on one server, and the rest of the files are on another. I assume I can run the upgrade from a workstation - this will be the first time I have done this on a networked installation. Is  there anything I should do or any information I should assemble before I attempt to run the upgrade? I really don't want any of the crazy problems some other users have experienced when upgrading a networked installation.
